What it does
Runs a saved strategy, pinned to an exact branch and commit, on every coin the picker chose — up to a limit you set. A member keeps running while its coin stays picked, and closes when the coin drops out. Each member is primed over the candles that closed BEFORE the pick, so it can trade from its very first candle rather than spending the first days of a holding period warming up.
What happens
Used only inside a Universe. It runs at the universe's refresh or pick instants over every allowed coin, using only data that had closed by then, and its wires carry coin sets, per-coin columns or selections rather than one value per bar.
When to use
When the picker answers 'which coins are worth trading' and a strategy answers 'when to be in them'.
Gotchas
- The strategy candles must be finer than the pick cadence, or a coin can leave before it ever gets a bar.
- A coin that leaves and comes back starts its strategy fresh; it never resumes a paused one.
- A coin listed more recently than the strategy's warm-up needs will join before its indicators are warm — the compiler warns, and the run reports how many did.
- Order size defaults to a share of each coin's capital, not the strategy's quantity: a quantity is counted in coins, so 0.1 is a real order on one coin and a sub-minimum order on a cheap one. Choose 'strategy, scaled' to keep the strategy's quantity grown to the coin's capital, or 'strategy as written' to keep it exactly.
