Liquidity Filter

What it does

Allows coins whose average daily quote volume over the lookback is at least a dollar amount, or keeps only the top N by that volume.

What happens

Used only inside a Universe. It runs at the universe's refresh or pick instants over every allowed coin, using only data that had closed by then, and its wires carry coin sets, per-coin columns or selections rather than one value per bar.

When to use

Always, for anything you intend to trade — thin coins cost more to trade than most signals earn.

Gotchas

• The amount is in dollars per day, averaged over the lookback.
