Privacy & Cookies
How Spera collects and uses product-usage data.
First-party analytics
We run our own lightweight, first-party analytics to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. Events are sent to our own servers — we do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Pages viewed and key actions (e.g. starting signup, running a backtest).
- A random first-party identifier stored in a cookie to group your activity.
- Coarse, non-identifying context such as your email domain (never the full address).
- Referrer and campaign parameters (UTM) when present.
We do not store your full email, name, or any free-text personal data in analytics events.
Cookies we set
spera_consent— records your analytics choice (accept / decline).spera_anon_id— a random analytics identifier, set only if you accept.spera_rt/spera_has_session— strictly-necessary sign-in cookies, always required to use your account.
Your choices
If you decline, we set no analytics identifier and collect no behavioural events. You can clear the spera_consent cookie at any time to be asked again. Raw analytics events are retained for 90 days. Non-identifying daily aggregate rows are retained for approximately 13 months; they contain counts and bounded product dimensions, never account, session, strategy, bot, portfolio, or deployment-attempt identifiers.
