Connect Claude
Anthropic’s connector dialog cannot be pre-filled by any MCP server, so the button copies the URL and opens the dialog for you. One paste is the whole difference.
One click: the URL goes to your clipboard and Claude opens on the Add custom connector dialog. Paste, confirm, sign in.
Why can’t this be fully automatic?
Anthropic’s Add custom connector dialog cannot be pre-filled by a link — no MCP server can do it. That changes once Spera is listed in Claude’s connector directory, which turns this into a Connect button. Until then, paste is the shortest path that exists.
A localhost URL never works here either — Claude Desktop and claude.ai dial from Anthropic’s servers, not your machine.
Paste into the dialog that opens (Ctrl/Cmd+V), then confirm.
Sign in to Spera and approve the permissions.
Fully quit Claude — not just a new chat — then reopen it.
You’re done when Settings → Connectors shows Spera as connected.
